Coming from Hurley South Dakota, population 352 - moving to Madison was a real transition for Lorin. After 4 eventful years at Dakota State College, Lorin was hired in the Sales Department on April 1, 1985 (not as a joke). Entering his 20th year at KJAM, Lorin remembers his roots and believes that every business has 'unlimited potential' no matter how small they start. 3 children, hunting, fishing and outdoor recreation help balance the remainder of Lorin's spare time.

After graduation from Brown Institute in Minneapolis, I accepted my first radio job far from home at KRYK in Chinook, Montana. I loved Montana and stayed for about 2 1/2 years, trying my hand a various aspects or radio...even tried doing color for sports broadcasts, which turned out to be a disaster. (As you may have noticed, the don't let me near the sports department. There is a reason!) My next radio adventure took me to KBWS in Sisseton where I stayed for 1 year doing a little bit of everything!! I then ended up back in my hometown of Madison working at KJAM.

In the 15 years that I have been at KJAM I have gained a husband, 2 kids, a mini-van and a mortgage...talk about baggage!! I have also gained alot of experience and responsibilities and lived through many co-workers!!

When not on air I work in the office, taking care of billing and traffic and whatever fun things they can come up with!! When not at work or running my kids to their many activities, I enjoy playing volleyball, walking, aerobics, gardening and watching reality tv or TLC!!

I was born in Fairbanks, Alaska and it seems like I have never stopped moving around. I have lived in Minnesota, Iowa, Colorado and arrived here in May from Albuquerque, New Mexico! When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my daughter and extended family living in the area. I just want to thank everyone in Madison who has welcomed me. I love it here!

A little about me… born and raised in Dell Rapids… Graduated from South Dakota State University with a degree in History… Worked at stations in Brookings, Green Bay, WI, and Sioux Falls, in addition to Madison…In my spare time I enjoy singing karaoke, writing, reading, and cheering on my Vikings, Twins, and of course, the Dakota State Trojans and the South Dakota State Jackrabbits!

Graduating from Ramona High School, I have been a lifetime resident of Lake County. I am married and have three boys and 7 grandchildren. I am active in the Madison Chamber, Community Center and like to golf.

Originally from Madison, SD and grew up in Sioux Falls. I moved to Dallas/Ft Worth, Texas when I was 13. In high school, I started my own mobile DJ business, catering to school dances, and various other business events in the DFW area.

A few years after graduating school, I joined the armed forces serving in the United States Air Force. After a few different jobs since my honorable discharge from the service, I have found my calling in radio. Musicis an integral part of my life and I believe strongly in its ability to reach out to people on every level.

I am a member of Lake County REACT, a board member to Habitat for Humanity, and a new member of the local Madison Jaycee's chapter. I have 2 wonderful daughters, one of which is currently in elementary school and a lovely wife.

I am proud to be back home working for the wonderful radio station I grew up with. As a Radio Marketing Consultant with KJAM, I enjoy the opportunity to work with area companies, help with their marketing solutions, and watch their business grow.

I moved to Madison, SD almost 20 years ago from Platte, SD. I graduated from DSU in 1995 and started a career at First American Bank And Trust, now 1st Bank & Trust. I worked various positions within the bank for 9 years. I then took a position in sales with Citibank. While I enjoyed the two and a half years of working with Citibank, I was away from home 13 hours out of the day and I missed seeing my family. I have three boys and a girl. I was offered the opportunity to work for KJAM Radio in their marketing department and decided this was the direction I wanted to take. I look forward to working with area businesses, helping with their marketing solutions and watching their business grow.

I was born in Grantsburg, Wisconsin on January 8th, 1987. I graduated from Brown College in December of 2006 and headed to South Dakota for the job of a lifetime!! This is my first BIG move away from the town I was born and raised in. This will be my second job in this career field, before moving to South Dakota I worked part-time as an announcer and board operator at WCMP in Pine City, MN. I started in Pine City in high school and continued working there through college. That wasn’t my only job though, I was also a waitress at Twin Falls Embers in St. Croix Falls, WI.

I am proud to be News Director here at KJAM! Everyday is new and eventful! I love to fish, shop, and spend time with friends and family. I am excited to meet new friends and get to know the town of Madison!
